I'm thinking about getting another black dane. Female this time. I have a
male with ch Reean lines, etc., don't want to go through his whole pedigree,
but would like a female of equal caliber and sound medical history inc.

I stopped by this site. I live in Virginia, we have 8 acres on a bluff over
the James River. I traveled to Conneticut last time to get Little Rascal. I
will go wherever I feel the best dog for us is. I am a court reporter and my
husband is a judge. We have no children, so these are our babies, and are
treated as such. We are both very busy, so we do not have time to take our
dogs to the ring, but do want quality dogs. I am talking with a handler now

Hi Teresa, It was a pleasure to meet you and Luka at the Cleveland Crown
Classic this past weekend. He is absolutely beautiful and so very sweet. I
do not know the name of the dog that you were showing in obedience two years
ago, but you inspired me to consider the possibilities of obedience
training/ showing a Dane. The bond that you had with your dog was very
touching. I was disappointed that there seem to be so many people that
consider a Dane and the Obedience ring so improbable. I look forward to one
day owning a gentle Dane and doing just that. I want a black or blue some
day. (I'm currently training a Dane mix who is not inclined to share her
home with another dog. That's o.k. I'll continue my journey into the dog

Hi, I just wanted to say that I think Luca is just awesome. I believe that
he is a half brother to my Grace(Juno's Grace Under Fire). Louis is his

You have a very good web site that lets your dogs shine. I have been
interested in blks/blu Danes for a very long time. In the past I was working
with dogs that did were not structurally correct, and/or did not have what
it takes to be a truly good show dog. I will have to wait until we move to

Love the "wrecking crew!" I understand, completely. My sister and I owned a
pair of Harlequins several years ago: Thor and Brunhilda. Thor's average
weight was about 180 and was almost as tall as my 6'3" husband when he stood

What beautiful dogs! I, too, was drawn to Great Danes as a child....and I've
also had them (pets only) most of my adult life! Blues are few and far
between in the Pacific Northwest...I'm trying to start a small breeding
program, but about 3 breeders in Washington & California (none in Oregon)
have the market "cornered," and will not sell any show/breeder quality
puppies without a written contract that you'll show them first - which is
not something I have the luxury to do. Any help or advice on locating 1 or 2
